we can see this figure is in a static pose, we can tell the light source is from the left with 

the way the shading is facing, we notice the figure is in the rule of thirds. 

this image has nice proportions but from the knee to the ankle looks squished

he's added some nice details to the shading also showing the highlights

the figure has nice balance holding the pole

we can tell the figure is slightly angled with the direction its facing

this drawing has nice central mass with the pose the figure is doing

This image has the feet chopped off at the bottom which doesn't help the drawing

the elbow to the hand on the right arm looks too short

the drawing doesn't seem to have much foreshortening.
